ASE SYMBOL: CY MAY 1, 1997 Cybersurf Adds Former President & CEO of LSI Logic to Management Team CALGARY, ALBERTA--Cybersurf Corp., a full service communications company, is proud to announce that Robert McInnes has joined the management group as Interim Chief Executive Officer. In addition to acting as a consultant to a wide variety of technology companies and as an executive officer and director of a number of public companies, Mr. McInnes was President and CEO of LSI Logic Corporation Canada Inc. leaving that position in 1994. LSI Logic Corporation of Canada was a controlled subsidiary of LSI Logic Corporation a Fortune 500 company listed on the NYSE. Mr. McInnes brings to the Cybersurf management group additional strength with his years of experience in the high technology industry, particularly in the area of corporate finance. "Mr. McInnes' primary responsibility will be positioning the company in new markets with a number of strategic relationships and to manage the anticipated near-term growth of Cybersurf" said Mr. Gardner, President and co-founder of Cybersurf. Cybersurf has positioned itself as a full service communications company by expanding on its core LAN, WAN and Internet connectivity business with the purchase of Dognet Communications Corp., one of Western Canada's leading high tech connectivity solution providers. Additionally, Cybersurf has developed a wide variety of software products for the communications industry that are now ready for market. Cybersurf has formed a wholly owned subsidiary called CyberSoft Communications Software Inc. which will be responsible for the marketing of these products. CyberSoft develops software in all the latest development tools including Oracle and Java, and for a variety of operating systems including Windows, Win95 and Unix. CyberSoft has contracts with several oil and gas companies and have recently completed beta testing for a communications software package to be used by Cybersurf in Canada and a large communications company in the United States. More information regarding these contracts will be provided once competitive advantages have been exploited. Mr. Paul Mercia, President of CyberSoft and co-founder of Cybersurf says "There is no shortage of opportunities in the convergence of telecommunications and computing.
