Hi Thomas, We can say much. See bottom portion of: web-star.com The FCC is re-examining the DTV standard. We were lied to by Zenith and LG Electronics concerning the efficacy of 8-VSB. It's a terrible terrestrial delivery standard and largely the cause for the failure of early HDTV acceptance. No manufacturers have the desire to issue affordable and widespread HDTV when they simply do not work, in many instances due to ghosting/multipath problems in the 8-VSB system. The problem, however, is that Consumers have had no voice in the decision making process, up to now. My recommendation is to contact your elected leaders and the FCC and tell them you want the best HDTV system available and support the inclusion of the COFDM standard.
