NO WAY!!!!!!

The Coppermine 1 GHz will most definitely have a fan. The heat sink shown in Anand's link is optimized for a high speed fan, the ridges and fins are very tight, high speed is needed for reasonable Reynolds numbers. Without a fan it couldn't even dissipate 10W at normal conditions.

If someone else had posted something this stupid about a subject that you were knowledgeable about, god knows how you would have responded.
