Jeff you did post quite awhile back that one of the neighbors stated that the police cut out a patch of grass and took it with them. They also hosed down the street, if there had been no blood in the street there would be no reason to hose it down.

Zues your car plus chase scenario is very plausible IMO.

If SJ was running away from the killer, after an argument erupted, and the first blow knocked her down and/or dazed her that would also account for the no defensive wounds.
