I love the song. I also consider the album from which it comes, "Bookends", to be the best Simon and Garfunkel album.....I don't know, maybe I didn't suffer enough on busses, I still have a fond recollection of them. My sophomore year, my girlfriend was from Wilmington, and during breaks I would take the bus up to see her. There I would be, sitting in the bus stop down the highway from the Delaware Memorial Bridge, watching some pathetic "drummer" try to sell novelty items to the proprietor, when suddenly she would appear, full of radiance, and I would jump up, clasp her to my chest, and twirl her around......... |
