WHAT: In an effort to provide equal high-speed Internet connectivity to every community across the nation, a panel of industry leaders will meet at the speed-up AMERICA Digital Divide summit in Washington, D.C. Recent studies show that rural Americans, regardless of financial income, are lagging behind in Internet access and computer ownership.
The summit brings together private industries, non-profit organizations and government associations to address the following: The Internet and the Economy; High-Speed Internet Access; Under-served Communities; and The Internet and Education.
