Yes, and there is more, much more history involving gold and humankind than just the Muslim world. Historically, gold has been the medium of exchange against which all other forms of money were judged. Even to this very day, Alan Greenspan keeps an eye on it, and the central banks still have an interest in keeping some of it on hand. Yogi
