I tried an Oscillator some years ago developed by Wilder using Parabolic Stops. It also was in all the time but it was chopped up more intraday than it was on a daily basis. I think one has to modify their indicators and what they assign relative value to depending on market conditions.

That is to say, relying less on Osc during sideways markets and more during trending markets.

I don't trade the Neurals; there is a fellow around somewhere on SI who works with them in engineering applications who does not believe they work in the market. Then there is another who rarely posts who I happen to know does very well with them trading tech stocks like MU.

A third sells a product, a one shot deal where the model tells you to go Long/Short at the Open and close the position MOC. It trades only a few times a month, and he spends his days on the beach until 4:15 EST.
