unclewest--in today's IBD a piece on Pioneer discusses their OLED business, and mentions Motorola as a customer. Although the article doesn't mention it, I believe Pioneer licenses some of EK's OLED technology (according to EK website).

Consider Pioneer's development of flat-panel displays using organic electro-luminescence technology.
The low-power screens are bright and viewable from all angles, as opposed to the liquid crystal displays and light-emitting diodes used on most car stereos and other consumer electronics.

Pioneer is using the organic EL displays for its top-of-the-line car stereos.
It also is building displays for Motorola Inc. for a new line of cell phones due out by midyear.

"We believe we are ahead (of the competition) by one to two years in terms of production," Yamamoto said.

Rival companies developing organic EL screens include Eastman Kodak Co. and Sanyo Electric Co.
