Upcoming Stock Split - can anybody explain effect Sorry for being naive, I bought this stock based upon the sector it is in and growth potential. I am however, unfamiliar with stock splits. Would it be wise to hold on to this share or sell it prior to this event. I do not understand the reasoning behind splits EXCEPT holders get more stocks at a reduced value. The question is, will the NET change in the short term be -ve. I am investing for med treatment and cannot afford to lose the gains I've made. Anybody explain reasoning / give me some advice ? I got nothing out of 'Raging Bull', they all seem to be a bunch of not so serious or well informed folks. I'm trying to learn ............. Thanks in advance
