Yes I do...
Course, I didn't have a 1.8 billion margin call from them...
I suppose I wouldn't be so angry if they would at least respond to me as if I were older than two years old...
I mean, Empty your Cache...come on. I used to program Pet CBMs in pure machine language...I think I can figure out whether my computer is the problem, or theirs...
It's the we're sorry for the inconveinece. thing
inconveinence...I have lost $90,000 due to their problems, this year so far. Not because of something I did, but because of something they did, and they call this an inconveinence....
What is a catastrophy.......
Keep in mind, they themselves are promoting themselves as the #2 OLB in the world, and Canada's favorite discount broker.....
I just want some love ok....
I can deal with a $90 K loss, what I can't deal with is some moron IT person condecending me....
not when I lose more money in one month, than he'll make in two years, because he doesn't know what java 2.1 is.
I'm not really the lay down and die type...and I have been trying to work this out with them for almost 3 years now, in private....
It's like this, the phone lines wouldn't be jammed if the webbroker was working. The web broker would work, if they programmed it properly...
I mean, do we really need to see the td waterhouse logo in the corner with the moving graph...is this critical to our trade?
As for research, etc. Why have it on the same website and servers as the trading servers...
If people really need som anal-ist to tell them what stock to buy, why can't they go to, www.tdwaterhouse-research.ca, instead of jamming up the trading software...
and, the menu accross the top, does it have to be there...do I need to see the site hang up because the webbroker graphics logo didn't load properly...
Hell, they could probably write a small 50k program, that we could stick in our machines that would run independantly from our browsers, the whole trade typed in at our machine, then sent in a small micro packet, and could be processed in milliseconds...
I mean, I have a proprietory piece of software that I use to buy items from a major wholesaler, I can enter thousands of items, and break it up into hundreds of purchase order invoices and it still takes less than 10 seconds to send and process ( on a 486dx4 100 mhz with only 16 megs of ram) and more than 5 million lumber yard, hardware store, and like type stores are using the service all day too, and we don't experience this kind of BSA....
I don't know who TD hired to design the site, but it is terrible.
Really, do you want a pretty slow un reliable screen, or a bland simple fast screen...
Do you think NITE has swirling logos and java popups at their Vax terminals?
really....
Less is more...
look at micromax in Canada, it is far more functional, only problem is this.....it isn't hooked up via the web, you have to log on micromax servers....
perhaps they should encorporate the micromax trading portion of the software, into a standalone program, that hooks into the webroker servers via the internet, and forget about the bells and whistles.. |
