Just saw this on Yahoo! Message Board - note that no source is listed. If true this could be the reason. Pacific Bell (California) has a HUGE promotion on DSL going on - free install, free modem $40 per month using ... WESTELL modems!!! They have so many orders installation is 3 weeks in the future.
