Here is a vertical call spread play that has the potential for slightly more than a double in 7 months on a move in the underlying stock of less than 10%.

MRVC, MRV Communications. Last trade 184 1/4 as I write.

The October 100 call, VQXJT, is quoted at 100 7/8 asked.

The October 200 call, RVYJT, is quoted at 53 7/8 bid.

Net cost for the spread, 47 plus commissions. Spread would be worth 100 at all prices north of 200 at expiration, a little less than a 10% move.

Note: MRVC has announced a 2/1 split subject to stockholder approval, probably will be completed during 2nd quarter 2000.
