Jape, you certainly do avoid BS. Was referring to hype and "buzz" all over the Net, especially these "hot stock pick" pages, boiler rooms of the 21st Century.

So do me a similar favor - point out where I ever called myself an "expert" on stocks.

I agree, there wasn't much interest in the stock at the open. The quickest way to generate interest in a stock is to have it "explode" in price all of a sudden. We've seen that in the past week.

If there was any coordinated effort, I would think it would be raising the price quickly to generate big interest and higher volume.

Prices jacked up, volume soars, MM's able to trade more shares and make more money. It sounds logical - if I were to put myself in their shoes - that this is how I would prefer the day to go. Done early enough, you could always short some shares and cover in the afternoon.

Much better than having side-to-side stock prices and low volume, I would think. My humble opinion, not an expert one.
