Mark, the Compaq people agreed with you. I can take it out and replace it. I called back GTE and they said they won't recommend removal because they had some problems previously. But since Compaq said it's ok then it's ok..... Sounds like an excuse for not knowing what they were talking about to me....No matter I will get the recommended 3 Com 10base t 100 and put in this evening...Since GTE is open for business all night I should be up and running tonight. Thanks for your suggestion...
