No, the eldest son just got his license so he has my old BMW,I'm looking for a new car for myself and I'm thinking about selling the T-Bird because I'm way overstaffed with cars. I never have time to drive much anyway, this 15 year-old BMW has just under 51,000 miles on it; I don't go anywhere.
I think I mentioned RMBS here, but quite some time ago. I knew someone Short from 87, when it hit the 37 level he swapped to Long and talked me into it. His target was 87. I completely forgot about until about 5 months later when Options Jerry told me it was a buy. It was 87 bucks, smack on. I was in disbelief, I sold half of it a day or two later at 93 and just completely forgot about it. I could not get hurt, so.....
If it wasn't for Kevin W. I would not even know what they produce; even now it takes a dram of whiskey to remind me.
But I do not trade stock, any longer. I occasionally roll monies out of the commodity accounts and buy 'n' hold; set alarms to tell me whether they break down so I can Exit or to tell me if I have a double so I can exit half. That's about all. Pretty mechanical. During the January dip I bought SUNW, CY, QQQ, SPY, QCOM.......that ticked me off; I had a target of 106 and impatiently bought at 110 even. 15 minutes later it hit 105.75; I know I should not complain but after doing all that watching and waiting you would think I would have more control.
Also some DOT Funds, DISH, LU---a good price there, I think around 53. Some others I guess. I pretty much was able to get most of them at recent lows. I'm pleasantly surprised with CY; I see it's 50 bucks and I was able to get it about 35 or 36.
I see the SP fairly exploded today. The alternative to what we have been saying is that the DJ and SP catch up to the ND. Scary thought. But looking at long term charts I see the channel on the SP is still downsloping on Daily Charts and seems to be forming the apex of a triangle on the Weekly. The Monthly is just skating on top of a supporting trendline.
I'm still somewhat concerned going forward and with sort of action I'm concerned earlier than later; perhaps as soon as late next week around Expiration.
Have fun at the show, don't buy anything I wouldn't buy.
(Actually, that leaves you pretty much wide open) |
