Hi pcstel, thanks for your posts in Yahoo! which were ones I read if I ever ventured over there [along with RichJanitor who deserves appreciation too - and a few others]. I answered you in that last post = Q! made a safe investment in vendor financing for Globalstar.

What about Microsoft climbing all over Qualcomm and trying to get into the WWeb world?! They finally figured out that Qualcomm will be as big as Microsoft, Intel and IBM combined and they want some of the action. They have adopted the new vision "Major Paradigm Shift Happens" instead of their 20th century "A PC on every desk and in every home". It took them a few years! Since they don't have patents or 'monopolies' on IT [TM] and WWeb devices will be network computers [more or less], Microsoft is going to be just another very capable and very well financed competitor in the marketing of QUALCOMM's products and services.

I'm happy with that. It will be very good for Globalstar too to have Microsoft making things good for Globalstar subscribers.

Maurice
