I don't know about EMC, but Cisco is growing faster than many smaller companies.

Generally, I let the market tell me what size stocks to be in. For the past five years it's been technology big-cap growth. But since October 1999, it's been mid-cap. The best range for me has been $1B to $15B market cap when I get in. (Of course, a lot of them have grown to be $50-100B since then.) :-)
