Codemogul- I don't understand the split. I recently bought JDU (Toronto Stock Ex), and purchased it on March 8 at 200. How does the March 2 date work? Surely I will get the split, ie 2 for 1 and the holder who I bought the stock from will not, even though they held the stock on March 2. The wording seems miss leading. I was in a similar situation several years ago with and EDS split, and did in fact get the 2 for 1 split. Otherwise the market price would be immediately reflected in the price. The market is supposed to be intelligent.
Do you have any other information on this or any other thoughts?
Regards.
