Sorry, but besides baby brewing, finishing a massive renovation, and moving tomorrow, i'm too distracted to pay much attention to SI these days.
It's slow rather than all at once, but the chatter to substance ratio has generally crossed 100 to 1 on most threads, it's just not worth it, and for various reasons not appropriate for BD and me to mess around too much anymore. People like you and NN I'm always happy to correspond with, but I think my public days on SI are waning.
However, I may slow on the response on privates for a few weeks. (But I did just set up one of the new systems at home via dialup today.)
It'll be interesting to see how long it takes to provision dsl in my building, bell atlantic has fiber into the basement, so i should get decent performance. (i'd never use bell atlantic, they only let you use one ip address on a fixed machine!)
