good post heinz, and anecdotal sentiment is incredible, i spoke to another guy who tells me the u.s. govt shouldn't be taking his soc. security $, as he can 'do better'. i told him not always, so he gives me the 'long term' mantra...sh-t, no one remembers 1987 , or the summer of 98 ? there was a small article in forbes on gold in the latest issue... i agree too if it weren't for mkt conditions i'd look at berkie bee...this puppy is lower than it was in sept. 97 i'll try to locate the post which mentions the tech darlings of the 70's and how they mostly ended up...
