Well, it has been an interesting day, to say the least! I knew I had better post my intentions about Q here, but I did not expect to be picked up on the Front Page of SI.

I think Gorillas in the early growth stage, as Q is right now, go through periods of struggle that Kings don't get caught in, because they don't have the competition by the gonads. I think that softy in 89 had a down year, as I recall, just before the really fantastic growth started.

The "MO-Mo" term is used loosely, with any real definition. I think of "MO-MO" as programmed buying and selling, based on charts alone, without any regard to the company involved.

Maybe it is only love instead of rape because I kiss them, but I take a lot more interest in the company involved than the strictly "Mo-Mo" investor.

I spent the day buying some stock, and getting ready to buy a lot more tomorrow. I am reinforcing positions that I have, and buying a few new ones.

First off, no company is going to start out as more than about 5% of my portfolio. It can grow as big as possible, but I won't buy a bigger position. My "G&K" portfolio is designed for the 5% positions, my "Top 25" and "Gilder's picks" portfolios are designed for 1% to 2% positions.

I started off today increasing my "G&K" portfolio winners. I bought more Brocade, Broadcom, CTXS, Network appliance, Oracle, (God, the "Black Prince" wins again! Oh, well). PMCS, SDLI, SEBL, and SNDK.

Tomorrow, I will sell off my positions in both Voicestream and Con Exant, which were "NASDAQ top 25" buys that went no where, and add CIEN, CMVT, ADCT, and XLNX to my "Top 25" group.

I will also increase my positions in ATML, RFMD. VRTS, JDSU, NSOL, ITWO, IMVX, DISH, TERN, BVSN, VRTL, QLGC, AND XTND in their appropriate portfolios.

I started this program on February 3rd. On the "Top 25" fund, I am up about 45% When I add in the other stock bought then and since, I am up 12%. The 10% loss on Q the last 33 days, which was 1/2 of my portfolio, brought my net increase down to 7%. Still, not too shabby for a new program. I look upon the whole investment plan as a large, personal, Mutual Fund, that I get to set the rules for.
