Today, while on my morning constitutional on the beach I spied a shell. It glinted merrily in the sunlight, almost beckoning. A tiny thing, barely as large as my thumbnail, I picked it up to examine it. Somewhat tired, I sat on the sand to contemplate my prize. The beach of my expansive island is littered with countless thousands of shells and I usually step past them, but this one... this one caught my eye. It glinted merrily in the sunlight, almost beckoning. Suddenly, a the small feeler of its resident gingerly probed the air. I was disappointed that sir crab laid prior claim to this thing of beauty, but I smiled as I marvelled at this miracle of nature. I carefully set it back down on the sand. I watched for a few minutes while the frightened tenant waited for his opportunity. Suddenly, the shell began moving, making its way towards the crashing surf. An odd little thing, it did not move in a straight line, instead it zigzagged in the wet sand. I followed the creature on its journey and watched in wonderment as those zigzag patterns became----letters.
