Haim, re: The PPI and CPI will need to account for the rise in oil prices which were omitted for January, so we may have a big number. Why do you say that the PPI and CPI will need to account for the rise in oil? Doesn't the govt usually throw out the ones that are going up (anomalies)? e.g., "If we take out everything that went up, but shouldn't have gone up, then there is no inflation".
