Hyundai sues Infineon Hyundai sues Infineon for patent violations in DRAMs, other semiconductors Semiconductor Business News - 09 March '00 Hyundai Electronics Industries Co. Ltd. today announced a patent infringement suit against Germany's Infineon Technologies AG and its former parent, Siemens AG. The South Korean chip maker said it is seeking to bar Infineon from selling patent-infringing DRAMs and other semiconductors in the United States. The suit also seeks unspecified damages from Munich-based Infineon and Siemens. The case was filed in a federal court in Alexandria, Va. The Korean company said it took this action because it has been unable to reach an agreement with Infineon on the value of Hyundai's intellectual property. An immediate response from Infineon was not available.
