Don,

I ran across this (the May 15th date) news Wednesday afternoon. Wednesday evening I signed up with IBM Global Net (Advantis) for my 30 day free trial period. So far I am very pleased. IBM supports 33.6 right now (I get 31.2 consistently) whereas my current ISP (Netcom) only supports 28.8 (I get 26.4 consistently). Therefore, I have already experienced an almost 20% speed increase. What's more is that IBM is going x2 across all POP's. I'm very surprised that this news has not been played up more than it has. IBM has a lot of POP's and their revenue to USRX has to be fairly substantial. BTW, the IBM rate is $19.95 a month for unlimited usage.

As for Netcom, I am really looking foward to dumping them. They have been very slow to implement x2 and will be rolling it out piecemeal all summer. In addition, I was told that it will not be part of the current $19.95 unlimited fee but offered as a premium service for the more expensive subscription plans.

FF (13 days til x2)
