Indeed. In my opinion, this is the most beautiful area in the states. I've seen the vistas, the canyons, deserts and whatnot, but wouldn't want to live in or near them. They simply are neither comfortable nor accessible. Contrarywise, the Virginia Blue Ridge/Piedmont is cozy, rugged, profound and stupendous all at once. I go there as often as I can (I even have a place there) to crank up a ton of Bach, and enjoy God's greatest music in His country. (grin)
