Nasdaq composite frozen, not updating - traders

NEW YORK, March 10 (Reuters) - The Nasdaq composite index froze about 15 minutes
into Friday's regular trading session, stuck at 5,076.97 up 30.11 points.

A Nasdaq spokesman told Reuters he was unaware of the problems, and would check into
it.

Traders said they did not know what caused the problem but confirmed that the composite
quote was not updating.

``We're frozen,' said Brad Weekes, managing director of equity trading at Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette.

``Something is screwy, it hasn't moved,' a Nasdaq trader at Brean Murray said.
