Gary, again you evade the gist of my missives, MSFT is not up against PALM, it now has to take on IBM, AOL/TWX, ORCL, SONY, NOK, SUNW and a slew of other global companies to vie for the net and my take is that they have all drawn a line around MSFT and implicitly apprised Billy that he will not dominate the Net like he did the PC., that is a fact and if you don't believe me go on and enjoy your reverie because Billy neither has the wherewithal nor ability to take on the big guns. The parameters circumscribing the Net are far different from the PC. Billy will not have the same latitude afforded him in the PC world, when he tries his moves in the Net world. Defeating Netscape, Lotus and Apple is not the same as defeating the aforementioned big boys, I'd like to see him try. Hah, it is funny that you even think he even has a chance.
Just for your information IBM, Oracle, Nokia & Sun have twice the Market cap of MSFT and are far more influential politically, as little Billy, your idol, has begun to learn.
HUH? You mean to tell me SUN, LOTUS, NSCP, AAPL didn't have large market caps and weren't formidable competitors???
