The money in her pocket may or may not have been there for months. Could simply be an old habit of always having at least enough money to make a phone call on you so you stuff a bill or two in your pocket before you leave especially if <<As for not taking money with her: she could have been meeting someone who she expected to pay her tab for anything they might eat or drink, or someone who said he planned to take her back to his apartment.>> Side note here. My mother always had me carry enough for a phone call whenever I went out on a date. (old habit:-). ) She also could have been expecting him to drop her back at her apartment after their meeting. JD
