Star Kimberlite-Progress Report: Seven Holes Completed - Record Intersection in Hole No. 7

SASKATOON, March 10 /CNW/ - Jonathan Challis, President, is pleased to
report that seven drill holes have been completed on the company's 100
percent-owned Star Kimberlite Project, with drilling underway on the eighth
hole. Drill holes Star No.005, No.006 and No.007 were each located in widely
different parts of the property to test specific features of the large
magnetic anomaly measuring 2 kms by 1.5 kms that defines the Star Kimberlite.
Star No.005 was drilled to test the southern edge of the anomaly and
intersected 27.4 metres of kimberlite Star No.006 was drilled to test part of
the eastern edge of the magnetic anomaly aud intersected 32.9 metres of
kimberlite. The seventh hole was collared in the central part of the anomaly
200 metres south and 50 metres west of Star No.004, where 116.2 metres of
kimberlite were intersected. Star No.007 surpassed No.004 and intersected a
record 127.4 metres of kimberlite, making it the best kimberlite intersection
drilled to date on the property.
All seven holes of the current program have intersected kimberlite and
all contain abundant mantle derived garnets and ilmenite in a crater facies
kimberlite. Sampling for indicator mineral analysis and sampling for caustic
dissolution for diamond extraction is in progress. Results will be reported
upon completion of the drill program and once all data has been fully
processed. The company has engaged Dr. John Gurney of Mineral Services Ltd. of
Cape Town, South Africa to supervise all aspects of the sampling and diamond
analysis.
The Star Kimberlite, located east of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, is
readily accessible by vehicle year round. The current work program of NQ-sized
(1.875 inch diameter) core drilling is designed to delineate the kimberlite
resource in terms of size and economic potential.
