<I think the software developers are the key here. remember Sony has them in a straight jacket with kickbacks etc(license fees). Now will MSFT follow that model? or will they let anyone make games for the xbox and keep their profits...or will they have a similar fee structure to Sony?>

I am looking forward to find out some of these details too.
