provides update on situation in its territory. Introduces "its own SIM Card to make satellite telephony available for everybody." Said roaming agreements signed with T-Mobil and Mannesman and that their subscribers can access G* service using their own SIM cards. "commercial launch of the roaming agreements will take place in the following weeks."

Says "marketing and distribution of the dual mode service is goint to start within the first half of 2000 in most of the European countries.

Says "800 employees of large companies and associations are already using the Elsacom SIM card" in Italy.

Says "the Ericsson R290 model will be available within the second half of March"

Notes that Elsacom is responsible for G* service in 27 European countries...but isn't clear exactly which ones have licenses and other necessary local agreements in place.

Elsewhere on the website it indicates commercial service is available only in "Region 1" consisting of 15 countries: Albania, Austria, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Greece,
Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland,
Yugoslavia.
