David, my understanding is the G*/GSM phones built by E and T use standard SIM cards--so existing SIM cards for conventional GSM phones will work in G* phones and the Elsacom SIM card will work in non-G* phones. Of course, roaming agreements, and registrations have to be in place.

This is a big advantage in GSM land. Suppose you're a European company with operations in remote locations in E. Europe. You buy a "pool" of dual mode GSM phones. When you need to send an employee to the remote site, he takes his SIM card from his existing phone, slips it into the G* phone and off he goes, keeping his usual mobile phone number. That's one reason, imo, the MoU for mobile phones may be a lot higher than people imagine....
