for what its worth. Just got back from the FO Conference in Baltimore. In addition to the exhibits, I went to a one day executive forum hosted by the Optical Society of America (OSA). For the most part a lot of very technical presentations by a host of private companies etc.

There was however a short "Wall Street Perspective" presentation. One of the key points the speaker made was that by 2005 the industry will be in excess of a Trillion in combined market cap. He stated that historically the two leaders in an industry account for 50% of the total. With some extrapolation that could well be GLW and JDSU. That would be a market cap of 250B or better.

Sounds like a long-term buy, continue to add to the position & hold strategy to me... assuming JDSU can continue to execute.
