Robert, I think we remember baseball so fondly back then, because it was one of the last bastions of innocence. . .not to mention many "star" players. . . back then, there were very few star athletes.

I posted I was selling biotechs about 2 weeks or so ago. . . and I have only dabbled in them since. . .they no longer move as a sector. . .and predicting their direction is best done by flipping a coin. . . and in this game, where the odds are stacked against you coming out with a profit. .. going in with just a 50/50 chance of winning, makes it not even worth playing, in my opinion.

I have AMGN currently. . .but am doubting that as well. . .HGSI, CRA, GENE are all very disappointing and I am very happy to have sold out of biotechs. . .

As for core holdings. . .there are only two times of the year when I condone shifting in or out of core positions. . .first is when shifting to a safer alternative summer play. . .then when moving back into tech early in the fall. . . when we start all new core positions. The idea is to keep your tech cores from October to April and hold safer cyclical, REITs, high dividend stocks. . .etc. . .from April to October. This is a simple but effective way of timing the market based on historical performance. Of course there are never guarantees.

EPMN was a tough break. . .it held price for about 4 days, giving no indication of direction. . .the only thing you had to go by was the drop in volume compared to preceding days. . . then BAM! it gets knocked down 4 points in 30 minutes. . and couldn't muster up enough energy to stage a comeback. That is what happens when shorts or MMs box a stock in and force it to slow down the momentum. . . .finally killing it altogether. . .

I know I am not giving you advice on this one. . . it is quite a tricky situation. . .and there are no clear subjective indicators to me, other than a downward trend with no buyers in sight, in a sector that is entirely overvalued.. . .you might want to ask a good technical analyst for a second opinion.

Don't forget this stock was around 2 bucks at Christmas.

Best wishes. . .sorry I could not be of more help.
