Motorola Information Systems Group has immediate openings in its Research and Advanced Development and Product Development groups for graduating M.S. or Ph.D. students in the areas of
* Modulation; * Multimedia communications.
For the modulation position, we are looking for someone who has expertise in digital modulation and coding techniques. Experience with high-speed wireline
data transmission systems (e.g., HDSL, ADSL, coax) is a plus.
For multimedia, we are looking for someone with experience in digital signal processing, video/audio processing and compression. Familarity with current standards and/or multimedia networking is a plus.
For both positions, the ideal candidate will have a strong theoretical background as well as a keen interest in implementation of his or her ideas in real commercial products.
