Thanks for coming to my defense, Ed, but I know the needle you responded to was in fun. Most people who post here treat me very well, and I can handle with humor the few who come after me.
There are a couple of lurkers who, I think just don't "get it" when it comes to this thread, and post, now and then, with a little malice. They are very few, and they don't bother me.
I lay myself open to getting nailed when I tell people here, real time, what I am doing.
BTW, Edy called me today to say thanks. She is on her way back to Boston tomorrow. She managed to open an account at Schwabs, and put her, and her mothers money, in QQQ. It was a real victory for her. The "Full Service" Broker, Smith Barney, that she was using, treated her like a ditz. She plans to get involved with us on line as soon as her PHD is finished this spring.
She was impressed beyond words with our group in San Diego. She had never known that such a group of "really nice people" could find each other as we have. She found the level of conversation to be above most Harvard gatherings she goes to. You have another convert, Mike. |
