My experience with Intel is that they do what is convenient for them and little more. If it isn't an integration of their standard cells you have a tough job getting them to do it.

The most important reason though is, Intel makes 60% gross margins. Do you think Iomega would buy a part that has that kind of margin in it? Do you think that Intel would do it for 25% gross margin?
