Eric L: Curious what the latest news (if any) is on the use of SIM cards or the equivalent with CDMA?

You mentioned that earlier some CDMA phone makers were looking at that possibility, but the Q still seemed to prefer to bundle all inside with no SIM card.

Do I remember that even close to accurately?

And what about now?

I raise this because on the Globalstar thread there was a discussion of the use of SIM cards in GSM Globalstar phones by companies who lend a phone off their shelf to an employee who may need it where he is traveling and he uses his own SIM card to activate it.

Something similar would be a plus for CDMA - particularly in a world where chipsets could be CDMA/GSM.

Any thoughts.

Best, and respect.
