Bob How does combined company develop two products, sell two products, and support two products? NN LMDS solution will be largely adopted by ALA. ALA got to LMDS thanks to Stanford(they cooperated with STII before marger NN/STII was announced). ALA is more in access part where NN core/networking. so both LMDS are complementary. In NN's LMDS solution 36170 ATM switch and 350 access switch is used . ALA is proving more "radio" products. On xDSL part, as you know ALA have about 50% od world market and is big at SBC,Bell Atlantic and Bell South. NN, of course will provide ATM core switching(at SBC NN core switches and ALA DSLAMs are already proving services) where ALA ADLS. There is some overlap in xDSL space, however ALA DLSAMs can not provide exotic services like QoS voice , Video or TV where NN 3dsl via 350 access node(yes the same used in LMDS!!!) can provde them. ALA DSLAMs are excellent for fast internet. SO depending on customer needs ALA/NN will have differnet offering. Zbyslaw
