"I'm saying, starting capital means very little."

and then

"Starting capital matters, but it's not the defining factor."

If you stick with the second opinion, I'll agree. I say, starting capital, while not the only factor, is a decisive one in determining not only the possibility for success, but the degree of success, of a new trader - or even some experienced ones, LOL. It certainly - and MOST IMPORTANTLY - validates or disproves ones' choice of trading strategy, including risk management, profit taking, etc.

Clearly, a man of your celebrity would admit that even you are a anomaly? It's not because there aren't enough people trying, that's for sure.

Starting capital matters. Not exclusively, but in a most weighty fashion. Maybe we'll just have to agree to disagree, but we don't seem to disagree by much.

Yours is a great story, Don. I wish you lots more success. That said, let me share with you something I've been telling myself for years, particularly after a good quarter or an especially good day:
"Never confuse genius with a bull market."
