Frank, remember that Intel's gross margins have little chance of increasing. IOM's gross margins have MUCH chance of increasing given disk sales going forward. You buy a company with POTENTIALLY INCREASING gross margins and not companies with POTENTIALLY DECREASING gross margins (unless, such as Intel's case, increasing revenues dictate the purchase to offset decreasing gross margins). Intel stated gross margins could decrease to the 55% to 57% range over the next twelve months. They have competition coming from Vitesse Semi (VTSS) due to VTSS's unique non-silicon base and others, of course. Not to say Intel won't meet the challenge.
