BUY BRE-X ON WEAKNESS
Simon,
I have been following Bre-X since it was $18. Unfortunately,
I didn't have the guts to buy in until it hit $100, and I bought
Bresea instead of Bre-X (Bresea owns 23% of Bre-X). I believe Bre-X
is an excellent buy (barring any unexpected occurences). I don't know
why people chase these "pretend" juniors looking for "THE NEXT BRE-X".
Let's face it, the odds of finding another deposit of this magnitude
are very slim. I think the company with the best chance of a significant
deposit is Arequipa Resources, and judging from their first couple
of holes I can't see their deposit being more than 10 million ounces.
But I digress.
During this Junior Gold Meltdown, I think that Bre-X will continue
to be quite volatile. Although I believe it will be a $30 share by the
end of the year, I think it should be quite easy to pick up Bre-X in
the $20-21 range in the next couple of weeks. Once Bre-X announces
their Nasdaq listing, and firms up their reserves I think you will
be quite happy with your investment.
