Investing sure is value-added. It allows companies to start, expand and fund new products and services. This is one of the key reasons for the incredible US econ expansion- having $$ avail for small co's starting up and growing and hiring more people. The vast bulk of new jobs come from small co's- many of them get their funding from the investmenet communities, private or public. Imagne any of this happening in France or England. not likely.
