RE: SemiBull
You did say your not sure they could be lumped together as "competitors"

IMG has chosen to drop out of the Electrical Storage business which AMSC is still in. It's IMG's opinion that AMSC will not be profitable in that product line.
IMG is now bottom line, cash flow and sales oriented, and no longer has R&D as their primary goal.
They do compete with AMSC in wire, cable, transformers and I believe current controllers. I'm not sure about wire for electric motors.

From talking to management at IMG, it's IMG's feeling that the HTS wire business will be a a very tough market in a few years. They are trying to stay away from that aspect of HTS and are trying to focus on solution solving applications and products.

IMG and AMSC directly compete in the Electric Utility industry applications of HTS.

See Bloomberg interview. See igc.com

I shot from the hip on some of this so would like to reserve some margin for error.

The market is so big for HTS products, well run businesses involved in HTS will prosper. So far we don't know if AMSC is a well run business. They are still a R&D shop with no production experience. I'm sure they'll do fine.
