OK! Here it goes. I appreciate all the technical (NPI)/chip postings, discussion of problems with Mot, etc. They all potentially affect AAPL--the stock, and its price. That is something I would like to talk about and invite others, too.

I am a long-term holder (as in more than ten years) who was dumb lucky enough to significantly increase his stake when Apple was in the teens (That's single-digit teens, not a hundred and teens.). Now that AAPL is up 10-fold in less than 27 months, the NASDAQ breaks through another century mark (5000), and technology stocks are allegedly invincible, I am getting VERY concerned.

Buying and holding has served me well--although the looming capital gains are a deterrent to selling. However, I am increasingly concerned about what is looking more and more to me like it might be a speculative bubble, so I am considering abandoning my long-held position in my favorite stock. Put options are way too expensive now to hedge this kind of risk. I am not particularly enamored of stop-losses. I do not seek personal advice here. I would just like some other longs' thoughts on the stock and its prospects given current market (and AAPL) conditions. Whadda y'all think. Is Apple a buy, hold, or sell? Or what?
