Good Post, Tom. Everyone else; Tom has been in IMG as long as I have and I think he will agree that the "bar none" statement from Epstein is significant. IMG is very conservative when it comes to talking to the public. This company could never be accused of hyping its own stock. If Epstein says IMG has the capability to successfully bring HTS products to market as well as anyone, he means it. He's not just blowing smoke. The guys over on the Yahoo board seem think that AMSC has a lock on all things HTS. I don't agree. IF IMG is choosing not to compete in certain areas, it's because they don't think the returns will be worthwhile; not because they can't do it. I think Tom is right; cable is a VERY competitive business and the margins will fade down the road. We all need to remember that the specter of competition from larger companies whose primary business is not superconductors looms on the horizon. IMG alludes to several large Japanese companies in its 10K. The handful of publicly traded companies who are involved with superconductivity are not the only fish in this pond. Glenn will steer IMG into areas where it can carve a profitable niche. When all is said and done, IMG is profitably operating in the superconductor market and AMSC is producing stock certificates and press releases. Just my opinion.
