x,

EXTN is held by Berkeley. Are you looking at the annual report? I don't yet have it.

Maybe Bear Stearns has done it, but I have not anywhere seen a list of private equity held in Berkeley's name. It's easy to get confused unless you keep in mind what entity has the private equity position, and which entity's holdings are being listed. However, the EXTN holding was Berkeley (also with Kleiner Perkins and Hummer Winblad) and as I recall from memory Mayan Networks is Berkeley as well.

I hope to get the annual report soon. Obviously, not every investment is going to be a big winner and there is sure to be a few dogs. And I'm sure there will be a few they write off entirely. But it only takes a few big winners to make overall spectacular gains, that's true for individual investors as well as venture capitalists, and I think LDP's late stage approach, and their ability to still get the deal, vastly increases their chances of choosing big winners.

best regards
