Bruce & Jimbo. Not trying to sway you one way or the other but you should think seriously about keeping E-trade.

I have experienced major problems this past week with:

1. accessing the site, the telemaster and the broker. Lost $1.00 (per contract) because it took me two hours to access for a trade. I contacted their customer agent for adjustment and even tho he documented where the trade was when I tried to implement and where it was when I actually did they have refused to reimburse me the total $1.00.

They are "giving" me .50 and making it sound at though they are indeed "giving" it to me.

2. I decided to close the acct and to wire money to another broker. I began this wiring process Wed. It has not reached my other broker as of this writing. I can't get the fed wiring # or the release time (which is suppose to be available at the time of the wiring. In addition

3.I have to wait on the phone whenever I call (during or post market time) at least 40 minutes and then they have to place me on hold another 30 min while they do whatever they have to do. The last time I called them Friday (my third call regarding the wiring bit), I placed them on hold in my office, while waiting I went into the kitchen and fixed and ate two BBQ sandwiches (including heating everything), cleaned up the kitchen and opened all my mail before anyone at etrade answered.

I think they are experiencing major problems there. I had purchased some long term options on them and sch but sold theirs cuz unless they get bought out, they are in for some major problems imo.

So I'm not trying to tell you what to do. However <gg> if I were you, I'd start looking for some other places.
